My first foil shaver. I last had a Norelco rotary-type, after decades of cutting myself with blades. Even after replacing the heads in the Norelco, it performed weakly, missed a lot of whiskers, too slow. The Remington is way faster and closer, but much noisier, and the battery life stinks. They claimed 50 minutes of operation, I believe. I'm lucky to get 15 minutes, 3 shaves at 5 minutes. As soon as the charge indicator reaches 60% it dies and the reserve never worked. Always keep the charging cord handy.

I purchased this razor in December 2006. The good news is that it shaves well -- the bad news is that it falls apart pretty quickly. Remington has replaced mine three times -- the first time, the trimmer stopped working. The second time, the cleaning base started spewing fluid all over. The third time, the little clips that hold the head in place broke -- one broke OFF completely, and one disappeared into the body of the razor. I took VERY good care of the razors, but it's pretty clear to me that these are not well-manufactured. Remington customer service has always been very gracious about replacements, but I'm done with Remington.

The design is attractive and simple, the motor is strong yet quiet, the result is a mouth that feels clean and fresh. Can't say that I've taken advantage of the timer feature, but since it doesn't seem like you're paying extra for it, it couldn't hurt, right? Minor negatives: If you were thinking of giving this as a gift, the see-through plastic packaging takes it down a notch in terms of looking expensive and would be very hard to pry open by, say, your elderly grandma. The little tube of toothpaste it came with was already expired by several months -- a hint that this is an older model. That being said, this plaque remover does the job, and really, the only way you'd end up with a dirty mouth is if you exclaimed, "Holy #%!*, that's one fine toothbrush!"

I bought this Epilady to replace my 20-year-old original, coil-type epilator (got my money's worth, there!) I liked the results I got from the original, but it was never pleasant to use. Still, I was sick about it when it finally died.

This version is absolutely wonderful. In addition to being easier to use because of the shape and size (and no cord), I found it to be absolutely PAINLESS. Plus, it does the job quicker and more thoroughly than the original.

Once you get used to this, you'll never want to shave again. Plus, over time, you'll find you have much less hair growth and never any stubble.

The latest family of Rayovac rechargeable NiMH batteries are all missing one thing: the capacity rating. Previously, you can see the charge capacity (such as '800mAh') marked on every package and also on each cell. But newer Rayovac rechargeable NiMH cells are just grouped into three classes ('Everyday-Use', 'High-Energy' and 'Hybrid') with vague claims such as 'Up to 115 photos' printed on their packages.

Of course, those claims make very little sense to us, because Rayovac never tell us which camera was used, and under what test conditions were those photos taken. By the way, how many digital cameras are powered by AAA cells?

After a lot of searching, I was able to find the spec sheet for those cells from rayovacindustrial dot com:

- NM724-4OP 'Everyday-Use' AAA, 'Up to 115 photos': capacity=800mAh

- NM724-4B 'High-Energy' AAA, 'Up to 115 photos': capacity=800mAh

- LD724-4A 'Hybrid' AAA, 'Up to 135 photos': capacity=800mAh

The item offered here is the NM724-4OP (the 'OP' stands for 'Opening Product'). But here's the kicker: it has exactly the same capacity rating as the 'High Energy' and 'Hybrid' AAA cells. Given its much lowr price, this is actually a good value. Just remember that it does not offer the low-self-discharge characteristic like the Hybrid.

As of this writing, the Rayovac 4.0 AAA 4-PACK is available at even lower cost. Those are low-self-discharge cells with the same capacity of 800mAh. So it is a no-brainer which package you should buy.

I gave these batteries a whirl because I had used another kind of [...]before and had been very satisfied with them. The kind that's sold here, however, turned out to be a dud!

- Capacity?

Interestingly, the capacity of these batteries isn't listed anywhere on the package or on the battery itself! Wow...

- Battery Life

And if that wasn't disconcerting enough, the battery life on these batteries is shockingly bad.

I frequently use my Might Bright book light to read. (It requires 3 AAA batteries.) On my Duracell Batteries, I get about 15-20 hours of light before my the light grows noticeably dimmer. On these Rayovac batteries, the light starts to grow dim after only 6 hours.

I tried charging these in both an Energizer and a Duracell battery charger. The battery capacity of these batteries are pathetic no matter which charger I used.

The package reads "MORE POWER FOR YOUR MONEY" -- *WHAT* power?? I really wouldn't recommend spending money on these. The performance on these Rayovac Rechargeable Batteries is subpar and absolutely unacceptable.

I had a battery-only Homedics handheld massager that worked well -- until I dropped it. I was also tired of replacing the 3 AA batteries, so I decided to upgrade to the rechargeable model for $20. The upgrade, though, turned into a downgrade: the new model was quite noisy, and it just didn't have the massaging power/action of the battery-only model. So I sent it back, and will now return to the battery-only model; that should make battery manufacturers happy.

I would recommend this little massager to anyone who needs a little hand held massager for easy to reach spots. I like that it has a charging base, so battery waste isn't an issue. I use it on my lower back and upper shoulders to ease tension and it does the job. It's a cute design and easy to hold onto.

We've only had for a couple of days so I can't attest to long term reliability. It works pretty well. The fact that it's cordless is nice. It's lightweight and comfortable to use. The only downside is that the vibration is weak. If you need something stronger look at the higher priced percussion models.

Charged it for 24 hours and it still would not work. The product inside the box looks different than the picture on the box. The box shows a Silver colored Shaver, and the actual Shaver was Black, and doesn't even come with a Head Protector. I ordered (4) of these Shavers because of the low price, and only (1) arrived with no explanation from the seller. After contacting the seller, was notified that the remaining order was to be shipped separately. It looks like this might be a nice shaver for the low price, if I can get something that works. It looks similar to a Shaver selling for $20 - $40 dollars. Maybe if the seller would check the product before shipping, this might be a good deal.

This is the third time in 6 years I bought this shaver because I like it (eventually the rechargeable battery wears out, and it's cheaper to buy a new shaver then replace the battery). I don't mind spending $20-$30 every 2-3 years to buy a new one. It's reliable, portable, and it does the job. I have really thick black hair on my legs, and this shaver works well with it even when the hair gets longer. I mostly use it dry, but it can be used in the shower as well. Consumer Reports says that all womens shavers they tested perform poorly compared to mens shavers, and there is no reason why a woman could not use a men's shaver, but good men's shavers cost 3 times more than this Remington, so I stick with it.

I can use regular ladies' razors, but I do often get itchy and/or bumpy skin afterward. The gold foil on this really does the trick for me on my legs. It's never given me any rash or itchiness. The shave feels smooth. The shave doesn't last as long but I love this razor because of its gentleness.

I even bought one for a family member as a present.

Yes, as another reviewer wrote, it isn't the quietest thing around.

Firstly, I don't know why, that with the exception of only one currently made by Braun, more shavers are not made for cord only operation. I think that if you took a survey I would bet that most people shave in the bathroom with an electrical outlet within easy reach for a shaver to be connected.

I am talking about dry shaving here, & to charge a battery inside a shaver to shave cordless in front of your bathroom mirror is unnecessary. Also, to have the shaver hanging around your room with the shaver connected to an outlet, is at the least untidy & cumbersome.

I have been a cord only shaver for many years, but I thought I'd give this shaver a try since it has the ability to operate with the cord plugged into an electrical outlet & it is priced so low. I consider myself to have an average tough beard, but I have been pleasantly surprised by this shaver's performance so far. With the exception of the initial required charge I haven't bothered plugging it into an outlet for recharge because I have been using the shaver with the cord plugged into an outlet while shaving which is a great feature since this is a dry shaver only that can be cleaned with running water.

I get an extremely close shave with this shaver in ten minutes. It's a very comfortable shave & I think it's because of the head & foil design & the fact that the foil is gold coated.

The ear & nose trimmer works well & is a nice bonus too!

I would give this shaver five stars, but have given it four because it is a battery rechargeable & eventually the battery will need to be replaced.

I've been using the Sonic Complete (with rectagular vibrating brush head) for 2-3 years now. It is a definite improvement over the various manual toothbrushes I used before. But from further discussion with the hygiene-ist, I think perhaps the newer models with round and rotating brush heads do an even better job. The cost of this one had been large enough, I decided not to change right now.

I'm also a little disappointed that replacement brush heads are so costly. I use them longer than packaging recommends. Overall, because of the improved cleaning results, I can report I'm glad to be using this electric toothbrush.

I don't have any complaints about the performance of this toothbrush. I was happy with it until the rechargeable battery gave out 2 years and 4 months after buying it. Seems it should last longer for almost one hundred dollars. I called oral-b. They basically said to buy a new one. You cannot replace the battery. They did not come across very friendly when I spoke with them.

I saw the advertisement and I decided to check this out. Didn't realize how quite expensive it was, but I decided to take a chance and boy am I am glad. Totally worth the purchase price. My teeth feels cleaner, look brighter and my mouth seems fresher. I even smile more after the use of this product and I am one to never smile. It feels as if you are getting a professional cleaning everytime you use it. Not only does this thing brushes your teeth, it polishes them also. I am actually going to purchase another one so I can have one at home and one at work. Also, for famillies, all you have to do is buy more heads because everyone can use this. And this thing is totally pain free, in fact it tickles your mouth, but you will most certainly look forward to brushing. The three speeds are very nice, plus if you follow the directions and brush in quarters, it has a bit of a hesitation to let you know when to move onto the next quarter. I find this very useful if you never had proper instructions on brushing. This is, in my opinion a life changing and habit changing product.

I got the Oral-B Sonic Complete at my dentist from some kind of mail-in free trial promotion (get a charged handle and brushhead that will last 2 weeks for free) so I gave it a try.

It does make brushing easier but I haven't really noticed a difference in how my mouth feels afterwards--if anything it doesn't feel as clean but that might be just how I am used to manual brushing. Who knows? It's not truly sonic--it's really just a faster (though it has 3 speeds so not really) power toothbrush. TRUE sonic speeds wouldn't even shake/vibrate the bristles!

If you can get one of these free from your dentist, you can just go to [...] and order a charger for $12. ;) You can even order the handles ($46), brushheads ($9 each but cheaper on eBay), and even a travel case there, too. (Why does this thing cost ~$100 in stores??)

Now if I can only find a manual for it...if you have one (or if you wouldn't mind scanning it and, perhaps, creating a PDF file for it--or just the scanned images would suffice if not), please email me at [...]). Thanks!

I had this bug zapper for about two years. The activation button was very finicky and would not work very easily. I had to make adjustments to the power pack to get it to work. The on button fell apart a couple of times and I was able to put it back together. When the on button broke again, I just threw the whole thing away. This product is effective at killing bugs when it actually turns on. This bug zapper was more trouble than it was worth. I should have returned it immediately.

This thing is rad! The flies don't stand a chance! Fruit flies do stand a chance though. They are small enough to get through the holes without being zapped. But oh well. Can't win 'em all right? At least the most annoying flies will be zapped and that is pretty satisfying after they have been landing on your face! Happy zapping!

This rechargeable electric fly swatter works well only when you can get a stupid fly to actually land on it by accident. Slowly swishing it through the air like a tennis racket doesn't work well cuz the flies sense the air movement and zip away. This would work well if the Asian manufacturer added some sort of fly pheromone on it to attract the flies to it instead of nearby food. A manual fly swatter is much more effective. But when this electronic swatter actually gets its chance to zap an aforementioned stupid bug, it works spectacularly well! BTW, the photo of this product shows a yellow swatter; mine is actually green and has a smallish head.

I ordered this product because of the rechargeable battery. The pictures of the product are what sold me on this particular product. The product they sent to me is completely different from what the product pictures depict. As I have not seen the actual product on the page--the one I actually ordered--I can't say for certain, but the product I received appears to be of a much lesser quality than the product pictured here. It's green, not yellow. It doesn't have the "wind tunnel"--at all. There are Chinese characters all over the product I received, which are not in any way shown here. The "removable" battery pack as it is pictured, is fully attached and unremoveable on the product they sent. This makes it very difficult to plug in. I actually have not successfully been able to plug it in and charge it. Very dissatisfied. Don't waste your time or money!

I own two of these chargers and they have been in use charging 16 "D" sized cells repeatedly for almost a year now. Depending on how drained my "D" sized rechargeables are, they will take longer than 5 hours to recharge. The unit does recharge other sizes (AA, AAA, C, D & 9-volt) and the smaller ones do charge quicker.

A single charger unit charges up to 4 batteries at a time, but as stated before, you have to do batteries in pairs, except for the 9-volt sized cells. Each unit has two LED lights, one for each battery pair in the charger. They stay a steady bright red while the charging process is running and turn green when the pair is done, signaling they can be taken out. Since the lid that should be closed while charging is red plastic, you may not be able to tell they have turned green without peeking. Once you get used to the unit, you will be able to tell the color change readily without lifting the lid. If the batteries are really very dead, I have noticed the LEDs blink initially until the batteries begin to register a charge.

The unit is well built and sturdy enough for its purpose and the AC adapter cord is a full 6-foot length, not a measly 2 or 3 feet as so many other devices today. Yes, mine came with labels on the lid that had a 3/8th-inch flap that would not stay adhered to the side. An Exacto knife and 15 seconds took care of it. It's unconscionable to give this otherwise workhorse charger 1 out of 5 stars for such a minor annoyance.

I recommend the product.

Just received two of these. Yes, how dumb of me to buy two not knowing much about it. The quality of the casing is really poor. The plastic is very flimsy feeling. The labels were all half-way peeled off upon opening the box. They show signs of just simply being really old.

The instructions are written in many languages which is fine, but there are things they fail to tell you. I also ordered the Juice AA 4 pack and 2 of the batteries arrived dead. The charger blinks red with those batteries, but the instructions do not even bother telling you what a blinking red light means.

If you go to the juicebattery website, they do not mention this product anywhere. Not even when you search for it. A good chance this is a fly-by discontinued product. The company themselves have not responded to by blinking light question for 3 days now.

As with many things, made in CHINA!

I got a few more days yet before I need to return them via Amazon's return policy which as we all know, ROCKS!

"Almost Perfect Charger!" 2009-06-05

The things you want in a charger are:

1. FAST (well, that is a trade-off to longevity of your batteries to some degree.) - But this unit is FAST.

2. Connectivity - This unit DOES have 12volt input, and comes with CIG-Liter (automobile plug) in ADDITION to a "nice" switch mode AC wall wart supply.

3. Ease of use - Well, you just pop batteries in it and viola! It works.

4. Ability to detect BAD batteries - It does this (I tested it with a dud. It does not properly indicate WHICH cell is bad either.) ALSO see #6 concerning this.

5. No overcharging and killing the cells - It does SHUT OFF and trickle after charge is complete. This is VERY nice.

6. Charge from 1 to 4 or any combo of - THIS is where we fail, not miserably however, but you can ONLY charge 2 batteries OR 4 batteries. You cannot charge ONE or THREE. Yet the charging is independant to each cell, so I do not know why it was impossible to design it where you can stick a cell in ANY slot, either all or one. But it DOES NOT work that way. You can also see how bad batteries would cause a bit of confusion here.

Why you ask do I just not charge 2 or 4? Well: If you for example use ONE battery, and you put the dead one in the charger to replace the ONE you took out. Here's where you will not charge just ONE battery, you are charging ALL of them again each time, and it is not the best medicine for the remaining 3 batteries to do this all the time. So my review is that 90% awesome charger, with room for 10% improvement.

And if the improvements are made, there would be no NEED for that SWITCH on the front to select 2 or 4 battery charge mode (cost would probably be the same with the improvements eliminating the need for that part!). IF you have it set to "2", it will only charge the LEFTMOST two batteries.

It DOES work, and it is the best charger so far of this size with a display (that I have found.)

I have only used this product lightly, but I was pleased enough to order a second unit for a friend in a foreign country. Comes with car plug, and "universal" wall plug. Display gives indication of charge status, and batteries appear to hold a charge much longer than older technologies. GREAT price.

This worked fine for a few months but then just stopped working. The problem was that one of the pins holding one of the gears came out. I have fixed the epilator 4 times now but it keeps breaking. Maybe it was just my bad luck to get one with a defect, I don't know. It seems to work okay when I can get it to work but I haven't used any other epilators yet so I have nothing to compare it to. I have never gotten a smooth shave out of it, a lot of the hairs break instead of being pulled out. It will do all the hair on your body but you'd better have a good pain tolerance for the sensitive areas the first time LOL.

UPDATE:

I sent an e-mail to epiladyusa just to see what they would do about my epilator. They sent me a new one! No hassles, just okay here you go! The problem I had with mine was one that just couldn't be fixed so that's why it kept breaking. Even after they knew I had opened the epilator up and tried to fix it myself they had no problem sending me a new one. Their customer service is top notch. They respond to e-mails within hours, not days like most companies and they act quickly. I already have my new one and it hasn't even been a week. This one sounds different than my other one so it really must have been defective. I have high hopes of this one working much better.

I highly recommend this epilator both because I like the style of it and because Epilady stands behind their products.

This epilator is cordles and this is one good thing about it.

I have been using epilators for at least 12 years and i had couple of them :old fashion Epilady, Philips x2 models and Braun. And i have to tell the best are Philips.

Epilady Legend it doesnt remove hair and is realy slow, my old Philips epilator had a lot of work to do after i used Epilady :( and i have to tell that Philips Satinelle is 12 years old and it doesnt work like when was brand new. Thats shame for Epilady Legends .

I am waiting for new Philips model and i will not try any others epilators! (and i hope my old one not gonna break)

I was very surprised by this product in many ways. As a first time used I was expecting it to be very painful all over. For me personally it was not painful on the legs or the underarms. I did get brave and tried it on the bikini area which was not that fun, and the arms which made me want to kill someone. So over all for pain was not as bad as I had expected. I was disappointed, however, that on the legs it did not remove all the hair. It took the coarser hair on my legs but even though some of the finer hairs were long enough I could not get that smooth feel that I desired. It does make them look smooth however so if that's what you are going for with this product, the appearance of smooth legs without the feel, then this is a great product for you.

I recently picked up this ring through the Healthy and Active Amazon store for about $41 + shipping. Quite a deal considering this thing retails for about $80.

The package is very discrete and non-relealing, looking even from the outside, like a cologne box, and taken out reveals a soft black textured box, overall amazing design, and after sliding the top up and off, you see a blue case, with the ring inside, instructions, and the cell-phone like charger. Even the case is discrete, considering a friend picked it up and had no clue what it was.

Acutal use is simple. Slip it on, and slide the top on to turn it on. It will take some getting used to sliding it on, as the top is very snug within the channel, just brace against the harder part of the ring, and it'll slide on.

The vibrations are nice and powerful, but with a low noise profile, you could have this on for hours and even in a quiet room, it's hard to pick up outside your own body.

By simply positioning the ring differently, you can use this for all sorts of different activities.

Prior to purchasing this Oral-B I had used a Sonicare brush (for ~8 years; it finally died). I have very sensitive gums/teeth and am forever trying to figure out how to brush well enough, yet not aggravate my tooth sensitivity. I was concerned Oral-B would be worse for my sensitivity but gave it a try because of the price, reviews and the two-pack (one for my wife).

This toothbrush is great! I actually experience less sensitivity, while brushing longer, than I did with my Sonicare. And on top of it - it whitens my teeth much better! I'm very happy with it so far!

I was always skeptical of Electric Toothbrushes. I never believed that they did anything different than what a Manual toothbrush could do and I never could justify the price. However after a trip to the dentist, getting my teeth cleaned and getting my first fillings at 26, I knew I had to change it up.

I was planning on getting the Oral B 9950 from Amazon but I couldn't bring myself to pay that much money, even if it was a great deal. I happened to be in Costco one day and saw the Oral B 8850 two-pack. I ended up getting it for $74.99 and I am glad I did.

I noticed the difference immediately after my first brushing. My teeth felt polished and deep-cleaned. I had to switch to "Sensitive Mode" because the regular Cleaning Mode was a little too rough for the first time. Now after 2 weeks of brushing with my 8850 I will never go back to a Manual toothbrush again. One of my biggest concerns was the back of my teeth. Waaaaay in the back. They always seemed to accumulate tartar throughout the day no matter how hard I brushed back there with my manual, I even started to take a brush and toothpaste to work with me but since I started with the 8850 I no longer have tartar back there at all. Instead it's a smooth, polished surface that stays clean all day and all night.

The 8850 has 3 modes. Clean, Sensitive & Polish. The "Clean Mode" is regular strength brushing. You push the button the handle once to start. The "Sensitive Mode" is a little softer cleaning. To get to that mode you push the button twice. And "Polish" is for polishing. You push the button a third time to get to that mode.

The handle also has it's own timer built in. After every 30 seconds it pulses and after a full 2 minutes it pulses 4 times to let you know you're done. However, when it pulses it does slow down/interrupt the brushing for 1 or 2 beats. It's something I got used to but my boyfriend absolutely hates it. To some this could be a draw back but for myself, it's not a deal breaker, just a small annoyance.

One great thing about these brushes is that they hold a charge. According to the directions they hold their charges for up to 2 weeks after you charge it for 16 hours. The handles also have indicator lights when the handle is charged and when it needs re-charged. I have only charged my brushes once since I've purchased them and there has been no difference in power since my first charging.

As for the natural whitening, I do see a difference in the shade of my teeth. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker but I drink coffee, tea and soda. I haven't changed my toothpaste - I use Colgate Total + Whitening - and I credit the whiter shades to the toothbrush.

I highly recommend this set to anyone who wants to switch from a Hardcore Manual Toothbrush User to an Electric Tooth Brush believer. These toothbrushes are inexpensive compared to other brands and they do everything advertised. It's a great investment.

I recently went to the dentist and the hygienist spent significantly less time scraping and cleaning my teeth than what I'm used to. So I stand by my review and my recommendation to pick one up. BUT - I don't know if others have experienced this, my handle is no longer staying charged for the full two weeks. It seemed that I was charging it more and more and one day I decided to write down when it was charged last and what do you know, the charge is only lasting 6 days now. I'm pretty disappointed considering I haven't even had it a full year yet. But it still works exactly the same as it did when I bought it, minus the charging issue, and it still is cleaning my teeth how I expect.

I have several longhair cats, mainly Persians, including one that had tail hair so long that it trailed behind her, nearly tripping her as she walked, which meant that she was unable to play. Over two years, I bought a whole bunch of grooming tools in the hopes of keeping their coats short so that they have no soft-mats or hard-mats. Mats prevent playing, stretching and running. I hate not only hard-mats, but "soft-mats" which precede hard-mats. Soft-mats happen when fur is hard to get a comb/brush through -- they must be dealt with because they turn into hard-mats pretty fast. It does no good to comb my Persians' coats daily -- fur accumulates over weeks resulting in soft-mats. What works for one cat doesn't work for the next. Each longhair animal's coat is different, and needs select tools.

First off, I really wish Furminator would produce an XTRA-SMALL (XS) sized Furminator specially for 5-lb. cats and dogs. The Small-sized Furminator works well with cats that have some bulk/heft/mass to them (7-lbs. or more), but NOT on a petite 5-lb. Persian that is almost as light as air. I like Furminator -- but they don't make one for really small cats or dogs.

The second of my Persian cat's thick coat is a mix of wire-haired long hairs and wire-haired undercoat. It's just horrible to get through, no matter how often I "try" to comb her (which is pretty much an impossibility). I can never get her combed out, and this is after trying a number of manual tools. If I force the comb through, it hurts her and I just won't continue that. GROOMING IS MEANT TO BE PAIN-FREE!! (If grooming hurts, you're doing it wrong.) Even if I force the comb through (hurting her), nothing changes -- the fur is no easier getting the comb through the next time. Anyone with a longhair pet that has an undercoat, particularly a WIRY undercoat, understands wherefore I speak.

The above-mentioned Persians' longhair coats have not responded to manual tools. Therefore I looked for "electronic" help, aka small-animal electric clipper.

Well, rots of ruck. Clippers designed for humans are too large and way too noisy, as are most animal-clippers. The noise scares the bejeebers out of the cats, so quietness is a must. So I looked for clippers that were petite, quiet and also run a decent amount time without a recharge. I did quite a bit of research, reading descriptions of pet clippers, studied sizes and getting a sense of decibels. To my horror, most "pet" clippers or trimmers are neither small nor quiet -- why do manufacturers keep producing these and why do people keep buying them?

Maybe because they don't know which model to buy.

Well, I have a recommendation. I just bought the new Wahl cordless ChroMini and really like it, A LOT. It is small (tempted to call it "tiny") and very quiet. During the 2nd session (on the first charge, I might add), one of my Persians (high-strung) flopped down and her body language said "Okay, now that feels good -- you're getting out those knots (soft-mats) -- good riddance." Even with hard-mats (which I don't let get that bad), I am sure this model would do fine.

On wahl.com, this clipper was hard to find. On the horizontal menu, click on Animal Products > Products > Pro Pet/Veterinarian > Chro Mini 41591-04301. Why Wahl doesn't include it in their Home Pet product line is beyond me. Too expensive, maybe.

For anyone that has several longhair small cats and/or dogs where grooming is essential and you are loath to hire a professional groomer, this clipper is well worth the money. I would go broke real fast if I took my cats to a groomer. I've had this clipper a month and it's already paid for itself.

I used this clipper for a couple hours and it's still on the first charge. This feature is really nice! I contacted Wahl about what is the best way to recharge the unit, and they said to only recharge it only when it needs it, meaning don't leave the unit in the recharger indefinitely between charges -- unplug the recharger until the clipper loses power, plug in the recharger, charge the clipper, then unplug the recharger. They said that not leaving the clipper in the recharger at all times increases the lifespan of the battery.

I am really tired of "home" electric clipper's batteries that maybe run 15 minutes, then poop out. The manufacturers don't know my longhair cats -- the clipper has to last long enough to get through a session. I am delighted that this clipper has gone through two long sessions and no hint of needing a recharge.

I am very patient when grooming, which takes time, and this translates into that the clipper has to run for at least an hour each session. Always have the blade-guard on. It does take some getting used to -- I gently pull a tuft of fur up and clip that. Gently pull another tuft of fur up, clip that -- over and over. The cat's fur looks sort of patchy, but we're going for comfort here, not looks. I don't care if the cat looks scraggly as long as she's happy (can run, stretch and play).

This is the "small-animal pet clipper" for me. It really is a dream-come-true. It's been a long, hard struggle finding the right electronic tool for a multi-Persian-cat household. I recommend it for the do-it-yourselfer who grooms several longhair cats or dogs at home, particularly if you've had no luck using other tools that didn't leave a dent, so to speak. It has all the things I looked for: teeny, quiet, cordless, keeps a charge.

First off, don't mention that you're buying (or have bought) an ear dryer to your friends or you'll get (at best) a blank stare; at worse you'll be laughed at for some time. But, if you suffer from chronic ear infections, this is a must purchase.

I swim pretty much every day, and have battled ear infections for years. Tried all the usual treatments to prevent them, such as alcohol drops, ear plugs, vinegar, and combinations thereof. They help (especially the ear plugs) but I still wind up with an infection every couple of months. That's both painful and expensive, since the doc won't give multiple refills of antibiotic drops without an exam.

Saw this and thought I'd give it a shot. In a word, it's fantastic! Not the most sophisticated device in the world - you just place it in your ear, turn it on, and it blows warm air for about a minute. At first, it will feel cool as the water in your ear drys. Then it gets warm. Very comfortable, and very quiet (an important feature of anything that gets near your ear).

I'll update this as time goes by, but so far I'm thrilled with the device. I use it twice daily, and it really makes my ear feel better (for some reason, I only get infections in one ear). When it arrived I was in the midst of an infection, and the drying action really helped cut down on the usual discomfort of an infection in progress.

It varies in price, but even at the regular price it is well worth it if you are a chronic ear infection sufferer.

Update July 2009: Been using this for nearly nine months and so far zero ear infections. Longest I've ever gone without one! Wish I could give it more than five stars!

This is the second unit I am buying within a one year period. The first stopped working after 9 months. My wife and I surf a lot and she suffers from ear aches after a long session in the water. The DryEar solved all her ear aches. If the first unit was still working I would not hesitate to give it a 5-star rating since it clearly does what it is intended to do. But since it failed so quickly the best I can do is 3-stars. If you have ear problems due to water then this unit works quite well, but be prepared for a malfunction. I only wish the unit would have a longer life span.

Best one I've had yet. I also have the Stealth, the Bell and Howell Silver Sonic, and the Loud and Clear. This Intelliear Plus rechargable reproduces voices with the least distortion of any of them. Also background noise is nonexistant.It will go about 12 hrs on a charge so its best to charge it every night while you are catching your ZZZZs.In my estimation it is the best performer of the lot.It comes with angled ear cones so it will lay closer to your face. Bell and Howell also has this feature. It might not be as pretty as the others but makes up for it in performance.

The Stealth and the Loud and Clear both have more background noise and voices aren't as clearly defined.The Stealth I have is rechargable and also lasts about 12 hrs. The Loud and Clear uses hearing aid batteries size 312. The Bell and Howell has less background noise and is clearer than the Stealth or the Loud and Clear. It uses two button type batteries size AG13 not to be confused with the size 13 hearing aid battery which is smaller. It seems that the battery operated jobs need battery replacment about as often as the rechargables need recharging.So the battery ones could get expensive to operate if used regularly. I would recommend going the rechargable route.

UPDATE 11-04-09 The instruction sheet claims a battery charge will last about 5 hours. I have found that to be true.I was so pleased with this unit I bought 2 more so when one goes dead it goes on the charger and another goes in the ear.

I didn't have the problem with no bubbles as the other reviewer had, I had the opposite - too many. I ended up with nearly as much water coming out of the unit as kept in it. The only way to keep the bubbles from going everywhere is to fill it with so little water that it becomes useless anyway...

I did have the same experience of the heat not being maintained.

The green "sea grass" stuff on the bottom did feel good, but not enough to make the unit worthwhile at all...

Although the box says "with HEAT," the manual notes that "Heat will only help to maintain the temperature of water placed inside the footbath. It will not heat cold water. For a warm water massage, fill the unit with warm water."

Not being overly picky we filled it with hot water from that tap. Unfortunately the product failed to maintain any heat at all. I think a glass of hot water in the fridge would have maintained better.

We're returning this product once it drys out.

Terrible quality and doesn't do anything. A friend of mine registered for this and used it once.

The "sea grass" inserts that they give you go in the bottom and feel fine. But once you put your feet in the bath, the bubbles stop and the motor sounds like its going to burn out. Apparently it wasn't designed to still produce bubbles with feet actually in the footbath.

The unit also claims to have "heat" - the bath temperature water put into this was pretty cold after about 7 minutes of use. The unit claims to be silent - and while it made less noise than expected - you could still watch tv over it, it is not by any means silent.

The box goes so far as to say "professional salon footbath with heat" - which is inaccurate to say the least.

Didn't try out the pedicure tool as the bath part was so disappointing. This will be returned right away - and exchanged for one from a different manufacturer.

I use these batteries for a digital camera. These low discharge batteries do have a good life. I have taken them on a vacation and they easily last for three days (taking pictures, reviewing and deleting), however I will bring the battery charger and the second set of batteries as a back up. It should be noted that with three different digital cameras I have used, I noticed that when the data is being saved to the card, the camera with any rechargeable battery is a little slower than with alkaline batteries, but having the long life is better.

I have used several low discharge AA and AAA batteries including Sanyo Eneloop and Spectrum batteries like Rayovac Hybrid. The Sanyo Eneloop were reigning supreme until these came along. These seem to blow them out of the water. Mine arrived rather chilled from a UPS truck in Minnesota. My ZTS battery tester read them cold at 100%. These things peform well warm as well ... which is a major improvement over the others. Further, they offer a strong 2100mAh rating and I find this a bit conservative with my C9000 charger in break-in mode. At the promised 85% capacity after one year, no other low self discharge battery out there can compete. What can I say? These are MAHA Powerex batteries!

This is the best shaver I've used. When my original Remington 845 broke, which had to be around 10 years old, I tried to go with other "top of the line" shavers and they didn't deliver at all. If you recharge before the battery is completely drained - you shorten the battery life. I alternate between this and an 842. When one dies, I pick up the other. And I always let the weak one run down to nothing before recharging. Buy 2 of these. They give a great shave - better than the Norelcos (i used various Norelco shavers foolishly believing more expensive was better).

I think the 845 shaver is the best thing that has come about for man since God made Eve.My wife bought me the first one about 6 years ago. Cost was $35 then. It worked so good I thought I'd get a Norelco $130 job and really have a razor. WWrong. I never did get a decent shave out of that one. You had to just wear the wiskers off with it. I stuck with it for 2 months and then went back to the 845. I then bought another one to keep in our travel trailer. Excellent service with that one also.I shave usually 5 times a week and put the unit on charge every third week. I've never had a battery go dead on them. I have no idea how long I might be able to go befor it would need a charge. It's fast,one pass takes 90%of the beard and the 2nd pass takes the rest.The fact it is aggressive probably accounts for the neck burning sensation I used to get with it but using the Remington shaver stick takes care of that. I've sold three of my friends on them and they love them. One was an old time die hard blade man. If I ever have to get another you can bet it will be a Remington that uses the same model cutting head as the R845

I have been buying these before (from Micro). They are very cheap and I thought it was a very good deal. Particularly their 2600mAh for 4 for 5 bucks! But...

Cons:

-Of all the NiMh batteries I tried. This has the most number of failures. Some just dies. Some would hold very low charges after just a few cycles.

-It is bigger in circumference compared to other batteries. Which will not fit some of my cameras and gadgets.

-Exterior is made of paper and gets easily smashed, deformed.

Pros:

-Price. but for this kind of quality... not worth it.

Also: With all the new low discharge batteries flooding the market (Eneloops, Rayovacs, Duracell, Kodak, etc.) There is no longer any reason to buy this kind of batteries. Even this company is now manufacturing their own Hybrio.

I've heard nothing but praise for this item. However, I haven't found it to live up to those praises. It's okay but would be better if it had a vibration mechanism. Also, the longer side has a decent diameter, which I was concerned about when ordering. Overall, it is useful I suppose but definitely not my favorite.

I bought this thing in cvs for $9.00 I bought it just in case my good razor runs low on juice. I bought 2 other ones to leave at friends houses. All $9.00 Do not buy this for $22.00 Thats crazy. You can buy a slightly decent razor for $24.00. This thing does the trick but sounds like it's mutilating your face. However it doesn't actually do that. I checked the safety of this razor it's pretty safe But don't pay $22.00 for this thing. Got to cvs.

"Very Disappointed" 2009-05-13

I have owned many cordless Norelco rotory shavers in my life (I'm over 50 now). My first shaver was a Norelco. I have always been pleased and with them and when they finally died I always bought another. I have never owned a brand other than a Norelco. This one has made me think maybe I should switch - couldn't be worst than this one. Battery dies before my 3rd shave finishes. It takes forever to shave and not very close even after I shave for 15 minutes going over the same spot over and over again - still can feel the stuble. I have never gotten razer burn before but this one has giving me one oh too many times. I know were the phrase "red neck" comes from now. Oh by the way if you happen to have a little long nose hairs this baby will catch them and pull them (not cut them). And because it wasn't cut that same nose hair could be pulled several times during a shave bringing tears to your eyes. I try to keep them very short now but am still very nervous when shaving my upper lip - just don't know when it will catch one. I have put up with this one for over a year now and it has not gotten any better. Time to trash it. I hope that this is just a single bad product that they made so I think I might try another Norelco shaver - looking at the 8240XL model. Its suppose to have a better battery and more cutting surface for a closer shave. Update - I have now bought the 8240XL model and I am much happier. The battery last me 8 days. The shave takes about half the time and is much closer - no more stuble. No more going over and over the same spot. Without a doubt spend a little more and get the 8240XL model instead or at least a better one than the 8140 series. Get one with the double row of cutting surfaces.

I have been using Norelco electric shavers since 1960. This is the worst model I have had. It does not hold a charge for more than 3 shaves. I like the fact that it can be rinsed clean is the only good thing I can say about it. I have had it about 2 yrs. as compared to the others I have owned and all of the others have lasted longer. I went to buy replacement heads and it was over $31 dollars. I decided to replace the shaver instead. I just bought the norelco 7810xl and will try it within the next day or two.. I wish I could give the razor a 0 due to the fact I have been shaving with the plug in for the past several months.

This shaver was recommended to me by a friend and on the first day it shaves beautifully. My skin felt very smooth; but, after the next few days my hair growing back caused bumps. I had this problem with other shavers, but never to the extent that occurred using this shaver. I don't know why this shaver (which again, originally caused such a smooth shave) would mess up my face so much more than other shavers.

I give this shaver a 3 because I'm not sure if the shaver's the problem or my skin because it works great for my friend. In the end, it might just be me.

I have used nothing but Norelco for 15-20 years. Great shavers.

I bought the 7180 last November. The battery gave out 2-3 months later (no, I did not overcharge). They sent a new shaver. About 1 month later, I was tapping the razor on the sink to shake out the shavings and the battery (I assume) was knocked out of position. The shaver stopped working. They sent a new one. About 1 month later, the shaver just stopped working for no known reason. They sent a new one. The new one has worked 6+ months. This week, it just stopped working.

Up until now, I have had nothing but great experiences with Norelco. I'm sure if I asked for a new razor, they'd give me one. I'm just tired of having them break. I don't think I was abusive to these shavers.

For years I had a Norelco razor and when it broke (beyond repair) I decided to try a Remmington. Bad, bad, bad mistake! After three months of poor shaves and tender, red skin (razor burn) I bought a Norelco 7180. My skin no longer looks razor burned, I get a close shave (no need to "touch-up" before we go out in the evening) and the razor is very quiet, no loud buzzing sound.
